Harris County has the largest population density in Texas, and is 3rd in the United States. We should be the example in the State of Texas. Our file management and recordkeeping systems should be the technological standard by which all other counties in this State strive to mimic. Unfortunately, that is not the case. While many strides have been made in technological advancement, inefficiency and ineffective management have prevented us from achieving our goal of being the standard-bearer. Other counties in this State are utilizing much more efficient, user-friendly, and economical systems. We are still so far behind. Together, we can ensure that Harris County is the most efficient, technologically up-to-date county in the State of Texas. We have much work to do and I am equal to the task. Our vision for the Harris County District Clerk’s office is located under the “Issues” link on this site. We believe that our platform and our agenda will bring Harris County into the 21st century, and will secure our place, once again, as the model that all other counties in this great State seek to emulate. There are many ways in which you can help this campaign succeed. You can contribute financially to the campaign, support the campaign in name, volunteer, request a bumper sticker, and request to have a yard sign placed in your yard. Please feel free to e-mail me and I will do my very best to answer your question or concern in a timely manner. Thank you for your support and I look forward to hearing from you. Let’s work together to restore the leadership role of Harris County.
I am a Democrat running for the office of Harris County District Clerk. The District Clerk's office plays a vital role in administering and promoting the efficiency of the Harris County Judicial System. The District Clerk performs several vital functions. The District Clerk is the primary custodian of all records for fifty-nine (59) District Courts and fifteen (15) County Criminal Courts at Law, in addition to other administrative duties such as accounting for monies paid (as deposits in civil cases awaiting disposition and all funds awarded to minors in a court action that are paid into the Court registry), administering the jury summons system in Harris County, and in providing customer service to all child support cases in Harris County.
