WHAT DO WE NEED TO CHANGE? 

As the largest county, population-wise, in the State of Texas, Harris County should set the Standard by which all other counties strive to compare. When it comes to our current District Clerk’s office, Harris County lags behind other smaller counties in terms of technological innovation, efficiency, and effective administration. Together, we can restore the Harris County District Clerk’s Office to its rightful leadership role in this Texas. 
 

HOW CAN WE HELP HARRIS COUNTY SET THE STANDARD? 

By promoting technological innovation, efficiency, and effective management.  We can accomplish this goal by:  

• Utilizing an effective and proven case management/information system
• Seeking the modernization of information systems such as JIMS
• Working to make more historical Court records available online
• Ensuring that Court records are available in online format in a timely manner
• Soliciting input and advice from those utilizing the District Clerk’s Office
• Hiring and assigning additional clerks to the Courts to ease staff transitions
• Improving the customer-oriented aspect of the Office
